A step-by-step plan for companies in Dubai that want to be found on Google and in AI answers: foundations, bilingual content, local signals and how to measure results.

SEO for a Dubai business works best as a 90-day plan: fix the technical foundation and Google Business Profile in the first month, publish bilingual, intent-led service and location pages in the second, and build authority, reviews and AI-search-ready answers in the third. Expect early movement in three to four months and measure enquiries, not only rankings.
Dubai is a fast, crowded and multilingual market. Customers search on their phones, in English and Arabic, and increasingly ask AI tools for recommendations. For a business owner this makes SEO feel complicated. It does not have to be. Good local SEO in Dubai combines a solid website, strong Google Maps visibility and content that answers real questions. This guide gives a simple 90-day plan you can follow, whether you do the work in-house or brief someone else.
Foundations are unglamorous and they decide everything that follows. If Google cannot crawl your site, or customers leave because it loads slowly, no amount of content will help.
If you serve Arabic-speaking customers, a bilingual website needs more than a translation button. Give each language its own URL and link them with hreflang so Google shows the right version. Use real translation, ideally by a native speaker, rather than automatic output. Avoid forcing visitors into one language based on their location; let them choose.
Most small business sites explain what the company does but do not match how customers search. Write service and location pages around real questions and needs, in plain language, with clear prices or price ranges where you can, proof such as reviews and examples, and an obvious way to call or message you.
Good keywords describe a need and, ideally, a place. Group them by intent so every page has one job:
Start with the first group, since those searches are closest to a sale, and use the others to support them with helpful guides.
Consistent business details on reputable directories, genuine reviews on the platforms your customers use and mentions from relevant local sites all reinforce who you are and where you operate. Quality matters more than quantity. A handful of accurate, relevant listings beats hundreds of low-quality ones.
Once the pages are live, focus on trust. Collect genuine reviews and reply to them, since reviews and a complete profile also help your Google Maps ranking in Dubai. Add accurate local citations in the UAE, meaning consistent listings on reputable directories. Earn mentions and links from relevant local sites, directories and publications rather than buying links, which Google’s spam policies prohibit. To improve your visibility in Google AI Overviews and ChatGPT recommendations, make your business easy to understand for AI tools by stating who you are, what you do and where, and by answering common questions clearly in short paragraphs followed by detail.
Most businesses see early movement in three to four months, while competitive terms can take six to twelve months or longer. No one can honestly guarantee a ranking. Costs vary with scope, competition and who does the work, so ask for a content strategy and scope in writing before comparing SEO cost in AED. My own published plans start at AED 500 per month and are confirmed after a free audit.
Property businesses face extra rules and different search patterns, covered in SEO for property agencies and developers. If you want help applying this plan, you can see how I work with companies in the UAE on my Dubai page.
This guide reflects my own hands-on experience and Google's published guidance at the date shown. Search changes, so check official documentation for the latest rules. Results vary by business and market; nothing here is a guarantee.
